Henry Beguelin's Volta Small brings the house's Volta line, conceived for movement and the pace of an ordinary day, down to a compact crossbody with a softly arched top. Its angled panels alternate grained Granello leather with supple Softy suede, the pattern turning around from front to back. T. Moro, the deep brown known in Italian as testa di moro, gives the grained leather a warm, reddish depth, while the suede settles a shade darker. A gunmetal-tone zip closes the top, and the house's Omino is worked in thread on the front panel. Made by hand in Italy.
The Volta Small pairs naturally with camel, cream and navy. Carried across the body on its slim leather strap over an ivory knit and dark denim, it brings a warm, tonal note to a weekend at the markets or a relaxed dinner in town.

What colour is Henry Beguelin T. Moro?
T. Moro is short for testa di moro, the Italian name for a deep, dark brown. On the Volta Small the grained leather carries a slightly redder cast than the suede, so the bag reads as two close shades of the same rich brown.
Is the Volta Small leather or suede?
Both. Panels of grained Granello leather alternate with panels of Softy suede, Henry Beguelin's name for its supple bovine suede, so the bag shows a structured, pebbled surface beside a soft, matt one.
What is the Omino on Henry Beguelin bags?
The Omino, or little man, is the small stick figure stitched onto Henry Beguelin pieces. The motif first decorated the house's original belts in the 1980s and now serves as its signature, seen here at the centre front of the Volta Small.
Is the Volta Small related to the Volta Large hobo?
