For Fall Winter 2026/27, the Italian atelier turns its attention inward, toward grounding, touch and the slow ritual of dressing. The result is a collection built on texture: hand-painted surfaces, salt-worked wool, laminated finishes that recall the veining of stone, and a palette drawn from earth, mineral and moss.

Hand-Painted Cashmere and Silk

Avant Toi's signature hand-painting technique returns this season across several key pieces, each one unique by nature of the process. The Hand-Painted Laminated Cashmere Crewneck Sweater in Nero pairs a destroyed knit finish with a fine check lamination, while the Hand-Painted Cashmere Silk Scarf in Moss offers the same one-of-a-kind quality in accessory form, with deliberately destroyed edges that speak to the collection's unrefined, primordial mood.

Salt-Effect and Gradient Knits

Where past seasons explored abrasion, this collection introduces salting as a means of transforming the fibre. The Salt-Effect Cashmere Silk Sweater in Wine captures this directly, its surface irregular and lived-in, in a deep tibetan-adjacent red that anchors the season's palette. Elsewhere, gradient dye work softens the transition between tones: the Gradient Cable-Knit Cashmere Silk Sweater in Carruba and its Moss counterpart both bring a braided texture to the gradient treatment, while the Gradient-Effect Cashmere Sweater in Taupe and Moss take an oversized boat-neck shape with side slits, built for layering.

 

 

Laminated and Needle-Punched Cashmere

The season's metallic inflections, inspired by the veining found in rock, surface most clearly in the laminated pieces.
