The Bolla Bassa is the low, elongated shape of Henry Beguelin's Bolla family, made here in Softy, the house's supple bovine suede. Its body is slouchy and unstructured, softly gathered at either end, and a double zip with knotted leather pulls opens to a leather-lined interior with room for the essentials of a full day. Two rolled handles, finished with pointed tabs where they meet the bag, rest comfortably on the shoulder, and the house's Omino marks the centre front. In Nero, the nap of the suede gives the black a soft, matt depth. Handcrafted in Italy.
On the shoulder over black tailoring, the Bolla Bassa brings a softer texture to an office wardrobe, and with dark denim and a cream knit it carries just as naturally into a long weekend lunch.
