ALIENY Flat-Top Aviator Sunglasses in Translucent Grey
Taking the aviator of the 1970s as its starting point, the ALIENY moves the shape somewhere more futuristic: a flat top replaces the familiar curved brow, and a sharp double bridge gives the front a strong graphic line. Thierry Lasry sculpts the frame by hand in acetate and finishes it with metal temples lacquered in silver and black, so the silhouette makes a statement while remaining easy to wear. In this version the acetate is a translucent gradient grey, set with gradient grey lenses for a cool, tonal finish. Available online with shipping throughout Australia and internationally, and in-store at Riada Concept in Woollahra, Sydney.
Despite the strength of its outline, the ALIENY reads quietly in this tone, and the silver of the temples picks up cool metals. Over a charcoal coat and a fine grey knit, with silver jewellery, it completes a tonal look for a day in the city, while on holiday it sharpens a white linen shirt and wide trousers on the way to lunch by the water.
