In the Lecate dress, JOSEPH works tortoiseshell into the knit itself rather than printing it on. The motif is knitted as a three-colour jacquard, which gives the pattern depth while keeping the fabric remarkably light, and the matte viscose yarn has a smooth, compact surface that skims the body without clinging. A high round neckline and cut-in armholes frame the shoulders, while a slit at the back hem lets the maxi length move freely.
