Aitna Light Suede Jacket in Taupe
The Aitna jacket gives suede the ease of a shirt. JOSEPH cuts it from an exceptionally smooth goatskin and leaves it unlined, so it is light enough for the in-between weeks of the year and falls softly from the shoulder rather than standing away from the body. A concealed placket keeps the front clean, leaving the soft nap and warm taupe of the suede to define the piece. Cut short and relaxed, with dropped shoulders and a hem that steps slightly longer at the back, the jacket sits at the hip and is at its best above a higher waist. By day it goes over the Geras Cashair Jumper in Lilac, soft cashmere beneath smooth suede, with straight-leg denim or a long pleated skirt. For the evening it is worn open over a silk camisole and the Ale Silk Chiffon Trousers in Mahogany, matte suede against the movement of the chiffon.
