The Monterey Pointelle is a lighter, airier interpretation of Monterey, the first sweater Frank & Eileen ever made, knitted here in the house's exclusive Italian cotton pointelle. Its elegant rolled funnel neck gives the effect of a turtleneck with a fresher, lighter look, and the long continuous sleeves, each traced by an exposed seam from neck to wrist, give the silhouette a long and flattering line. The cotton is spun in Egypt, dyed and twisted into yarn in Italy and knitted in Portugal, and its soft, airy weave keeps its shape and colour wash after wash without pilling. The sand colourway, a soft tan, sits warmly against the open texture of the knit. Worn with the Bray Barrel Pant in White and loafers, the sweater forms a light, tonal look for a long lunch, and beneath the Bantry Barn Jacket it softens denim with texture for a weekend away. On its own it suits the in-between seasons, and it layers easily once the weather turns colder.
